Environmental Research Letters (ERL), new open access journal

A new open-access journal, Environmental Research Letters (ERL), is now available from the Institute of Physics, at http://erl.iop.org

From the website:
"ERL will provide a coherent and integrated approach including research
articles, perspectives, news and editorials, as well as meeting notices
for the environmental science community. Completely free to read
online, ERL will be funded by an article publication charge."

Darwin Online

The Complete Work of Charles Darwin Online is now available.
http://darwin-online.org.uk/
Includes publications, manuscripts, and biographical information. According to the Oct. 19, 2006 press release, the site "currently offers more than 50,000 pages of searchable text and 40,000 images of both publications and transcribed manuscripts."

UI Library Book Sale, Oct. 25-26

Stop by the Library's annual book sale for great bargains on hardbacks ($3), paperbacks ($2), trade paperbacks ($1), prints ($4 and up), and much more! All proceeds will benefit UI Library collections.

New Book Display

The latest batch of new books is on display, and will stay up through November 8. Please stop by the library to see what we have added. You can reserve a new book by writing your name on the blue streamer in the book, and we will see that you get it when it comes off display in November.
